Free offsite parking is available at 442 Commercial Street in Portland with easy access to and from I-295. VIP Charter Coaches has been hired to transport Expo attendees to and from the Civic Center - a short five minute ride - at convenient five minute intervals.
DIRECTIONS TO FREE PARKING LOT
Traveling North to Portland on I-295, take Exit 4 to the Portland Waterfront. Travel on the off-ramp for one mile to the traffic light and turn right onto Route 1A (north). Travel for one mile on Route 1A (Commercial Street) to the Expo parking lot located just before the Irving gas station and across the street from the Maine International Marine Terminal.
Traveling South to Portland on 1-295, take Exit 7 onto Franklin Street. From the first traffic light travel 7/10 of a mile until Franklin Street ends at the intersection of Commercial Street. Turn right onto Commercial Street (Route 1A South) and travel 7/10 of a mile to the Expo parking lot located just past the Irving gas station and across the street from the Maine International Marine Terminal.
A shuttle bus arrives approximately every five minutes from 9:30 am to 5:00 pm to transport Expo attendees to and from the Civic Center.
PAY PER HOUR PARKING GARAGES
If you prefer to park nearer the Expo at your own expense, there are two parking garages on the Spring Street side of the Civic Center - one across the street next to the Holiday Inn By the Bay and one next to the Civic Center - both of which charge a reasonable by-the-hour fee.
